MANAGEMENT ADVISORY | ASSESSMENT | DEPARTMENT REVIEW

As part of Tr’ondëk Hwëch’in’s broader modernization efforts, we conducted a comprehensive review, in partnership with Little Wolf CPA Professional Corporation of Whitehorse, of their Finance Department — a 15-person team responsible for managing the First Nation’s financial operations and supporting community development. The review assessed organizational structure, job descriptions, reporting relationships, and departmental effectiveness, with the goal of aligning operations to meet current and future needs.

The project included stakeholder interviews, surveys, gap analysis, and the development of revised job descriptions and structural recommendations. We evaluated interdepartmental workflows, identified opportunities to improve service delivery and internal communication, and proposed practical changes to enhance efficiency, accountability, and role clarity. The engagement culminated in a detailed final report and presentation to senior leadership, supporting informed decision-making and long-term capacity building.
